Founded by Judy, an educator with over 17 years of teaching experience and two master’s degrees—an M.S. in Mathematics and an M.A. in Education, Judy’s Math Academy LLC is built on the belief that every student can succeed in mathematics with patience, encouragement, and the right guidance.

Judy’s personal journey—from struggling to understand systems of equations in Algebra as a student in Guyana to having her sister patiently guide her through the concepts step by step—shaped her passion for helping others thrive. After immigrating to the United States at 15, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and began tutoring while still in college, teaching Algebra at the college level by age 19. She went on to earn her M.S. in Mathematics and M.A. in Education, further deepening her knowledge and passion for both mathematics and teaching. This lifelong commitment to student success continues to drive everything she does.
